Background:
Cozy Community Project: Generations Kitchen
Kitchens have a unique ability to capture time and memories, as they preserve stories of people of different generations and tastes. They serve as a connecting space, bringing individuals together and satisfying human needs.
In “Cozy Community Project: Generations Kitchen”, Oi! has partnered with Zip Cheung, the project collaborator, to open the doors of the kitchen and engage seniors in different roles, like chefs and artists. Through exchanging recipes, preparing food and sharing stories, the project weaves together a tapestry of words, drawings and creations, fostering connections and interactions. Our aim is to encourage participants to perceive the flavours of life from fresh perspectives, while envisioning new possibilities weaving together new visions for their own lives. Together, let’s step into the kitchen, gather around the dining table and explore the diverse flavours of life.
Welcome to visit the “Generations Kitchen”, a place where stories have simmered and shaped over time, offering a glimpse into the rich experiences seen through the eyes of the seniors.
Signature Drink of Life
Life is a mix of flavours, sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter. A glass of pure, refreshing water symbolises the start of a life journey. As we navigate through life experiences, we savour the tastes of sweetness, sourness, bitterness, spiciness, saltiness and freshness. Join us at Oi! Kitchen, share your story and exchange it for a glass of your very own “Signature Drink of Life”.

- To assist in hosting the "Signature Drink of Life" and fixed-point guided tours - To actively invite participants to join the activity and introduce the activity to them - To prepare the " Signature Drink of Life "drinks - To take photo record of the activity - To count and record the number of participants in the activity - To conduct visitor survey; and

Date: 29 March 2025 to 31 May 2025 (Every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays)
Time: 11:00 am – 1:30 pm; and 3:00pm – 5:30 pm
(Two sessions each day, please choose to serve in both the morning and afternoon sessions, or only in the one session.)

Requirement:
Briefing All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details. Date: 22 March 2025 (Saturday) Time: 12:30pm – 1:00pm Location: Oil Street Art Space (Oi!), 12 Oil Street, North Point, Hong Kong Details: Staff from Oi! will introduce the background of “Cozy Community Project: Generations Kitchen” and “Signature Drink of Life”and share the experiences of hosting the activity. Procedures and tools that will be used for the activity will also be explained. |
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 27 January 2025 (Monday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 20 February 2025 (Thursday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
