Background: The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will launch the first Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Month 2025 (香港非遺月2025) (“HKICH Month 2025” thereafter) in June this year. Highlighting the theme “Intangible Cultural Heritage is everywhere in Hong Kong" (香港處處有非遺), this programme aims to bring out that ICH can be seen everywhere in the city and inspire the public and tourists to learn more and experience the cultural value and fun of the Hong Kong ICH.
The inaugural Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Month 2025 Opening Ceremony cum ICH Fiesta will kick off the "Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Month 2025". In an array of performances, interactive booths, etc., the Fiesta aims to attract participants of all ages, enhance public engagement, elevate the visibility of ICH and promote the transmission and passing on of culture.
Details: To assist in running Fiesta activities, i.e. providing assistance in the interactive booths
Date: 31 May 2025 (Saturday) and 1 June 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Briefing session:
10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m) (Including meal break)

Location: Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza (10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong) No. of volunteers (Max. Capacity): 30 volunteers per day |
Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese or Mandarin or English
- Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner
- Form 5 or above

Able to work outdoor for a prolonged period
- Priority will be given for those who have working experience in education activities
- Priority will be given for those who have participated in the MVS Training: Intangible Cultural Heritage Office (MVST20241102).
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 3 April 2025 (Thursday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 9 May 2025 (Friday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
