Background:As part of the Oi! Spotlight programme in 2025, Oi! will feature the work of Toyofuku Ryo, a celebrated Japanese multimedia artist with rich experiences in participating in international art festivals, such as Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale and Setouchi Triennale. Drawing inspirations from Hong Kong and Japanese cultural elements, the artist will create two large-scale installations, “Golden Tearoom” and “Golden Playroom” that will transform the Oi! Glassie galleries into imaginative environments.
The “Golden Tearoom” installation will echo the aesthetic of a traditional Japanese tearoom and garden. Visitors can step inside the golden tearoom and experience a meditative moment, imagining themselves on a floating island amidst the bustling city. The “Golden Playroom” installation will combine local and Japanese cultural elements, including various interactive games for visitors to engage with inside the gallery space. This work aims to foster connections and exchange through playful and participatory experiences.

Date: 29 March 2025 to 29 June 2025 (Every Thursday - Sunday and Public Holidays)
Time: 9:45 am – 1:45 pm; and 2:45pm – 6:45 pm
(Two sessions each day, with each session lasting 4 hours; please choose to serve in both the morning and afternoon sessions, or only in the one session.)

Requirement:
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese, proficiency in Mandarin and English is a plus. - Polite and has good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good customer service manner - Completed Secondary 5 education level or above - Priority will be given for those who have experience in art and/or education. Briefing All successful applicants are required to attend the briefing session to learn more about the service details. Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 27 January 2025 (Monday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 20 February 2025 (Thursday). The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately.
