Background: This exhibition will enable you to experience the challenges and evolution that life has gone through since the Ediacaran period 635 million years ago. Precious fossils of different periods including stromatolites, Cooksonia barrandei and Deinonychus are displayed in the exhibition. In addition, there are also lifelike robotic dinosaurs and interesting interactive exhibits that focus on fossil excavation, prehistoric environments and the evolution of life to allow the audience to immerse yourself in the world of palaeontology and experience how fun it is.

Date: 1 March to 30 June 2025

Time: 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location: “Extinction · Resilience” Exhibition, Palaeontology Gallery, G/F, Hong Kong Science Museum (2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East) No. of volunteers required: 1 person per session (Each volunteer is required to attend at least 2 sessions of service) |
Requirement:
- Fluent in Cantonese and able to communicate in simple Putonghua and English preferred
- Polite with good communication skills and customer service manner
- Form 5 or above
- Priority will be given to those who have qualifications or experience in science or education
*A service manual and guided video will be emailed to successful applicants to provide more information about the service details.
Registration: Please submit the completed online registration form by 12:00 nn on 27 January 2025 (Monday).
Notes: If the number of applications received exceeds the quota, the MVS Secretariat will draw lots to select the participants. The successful applicants will be notified of the result by e-mail on or before 20 February 2025 (Thursday) . The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified by email separately. Activities are subject to change, please refer to the Secretariat’s announcements as final.
